In this fun and interactive workshop, an experienced instructor will guide us through the resin crafting process step by step, providing a variety of colors and materials. Our journey through the universe happens at the Pierce College Science dome, a digital planetarium that is the only one of its kind in the South Puget Sound region. Step back in time as we explore the elegance and innovation of America’s Gilded Age. Our day begins at the WW Seymour Botanical Conservatory, where lush plants thrive inside a striking glass conservatory dating back to 1908. From there, we’ll walk approximately 6 blocks to the McMenamins Elks Temple, a beautifully restored landmark built at the close of the Gilded Age. After lunch together, we’ll head to the Washington State History Museum for a docent-led tour, highlighting the culture and artistry of the Gilded Age era.
