When we say “Leave the planning and driving to us,” we mean it! Our staff and volunteers carefully curate a variety of day trips—ranging from arts and cultural events to sports games, scenic hikes, food tours, nature walks, seasonal festivals, and more.
Some trips are easy, some involve more strenuous activity. Be sure to check the activity level before purchasing your ticket. Click here to see our Activity Levels.
Travel in comfort aboard our 24-passenger van, where the journey is just as fun as the destination. The smaller group size makes it easier to connect with fellow travelers and share the adventure.
Our Trips & Tours office is located on the first floor of the Olympia Senior Center. All trips are open to both members and the general public—plus, members enjoy special discounts!

Holiday Festival & Market at the Tacoma Dome
Get ready for some holiday magic! The Holiday Festival and Market at the Tacoma Dome is the perfect way to jump start your holiday spirit! At this mega holiday market, you will find unique gift ideas, home décor, handmade arts and crafts, specialty foods, holiday inspiration and more! Enjoy the holiday music while exploring the decorative Main Street Stroll. We’ll have breakfast together at a local cafe before heading into the festival.

Velkommen til Poulsbo! Join us for a charming day trip to Poulsbo, Washington’s “Little Norway”! We’ll start the day at The Valley Nursery, the locals’ favorite for garden inspired gifts. After that, you’ll have plenty of free time in the heart of Poulsbo to browse unique shops, visit the local heritage museums and walk along the waterfront. A perfect outing to enjoy Poulsbo’s delightful blend of shopping, culture and small-town charm!

Trolls in the Wild!

Discover an immersive outdoor art experience in Thomas Dambo’s TROLLS: A Field Study, where eight whimsical giant troll sculptures hide among towering evergreens, winding trails and native wildlife habitats at Northwest Trek.
This is a highly anticipated exhibit and should not be missed! We’ll have lunch together after our troll adventure.

Molten Magic: Pumpkins - Bonus Trip!
Discover the art of glassblowing with a hands-on workshop at Central Glass Works, a locally owned studio in the heart of Centralia.
Just in time for Autumn decorating, you’ll create your own unique glass pumpkin under expert guidance. We’ll enjoy lunch together at McMenamins Olympic Club Pub, a charming eatery known for its upscale pub food and relaxed atmosphere.

With almost 400,000 square feet of shopping space and a 600 seat restaurant, IKEA is more than just a store…it’s an experience. You’ll have lots of time to browse the shopping center at your own pace and have a delicious lunch at the IKEA Swedish cafe. Save a little extra shopping energy because we’ll be stopping at the Almond Roca Factory for a very sweet shopping experience on the way back home.
