Meet the Senior Services Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors are a dedicated team of leadership volunteers that provides program direction and guidance for all of our work.

Dean Walz
Chair
Retired - Finance Director, City of Olympia
Dean Walz retired as the finance manager for the City of Olympia. A Thurston County resident for most of his life, he is a graduate of North Thurston High School and Central Washington State College. Dean has been on the Board of Senior Services for South Sound since 2019.
Michael Leonard
Vice-Chair
Retired - United Way
Mike Leonard is a retired non-profit fundraiser. He and his wife, Kathy, have lived in Olympia since 1985. Mike's interests include golf and travel.
James Vanderholm
Treasurer
SVP/CFO, OlyFed
James Vanderholm is proud to be born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Olympia Federal Savings (OlyFed), a mutual community bank. He has a passion for all things financial, only rivaled by his passion for betterment of the community and his neighbors and friends. He is proud to be a board member serving Senior Services for South Sound and its mission.
Ronda Larson Kramer
Secretary
Attorney, Larson Law, PLLC
Ronda Larson Kramer is an elder law and estate planning attorney who has practiced in the Puget Sound region since 2001. She enjoys stewarding 20 acres of forestland with her husband and their two black labs. She is also a community organizer focused on good land-use policies.
Sandy Adams

Retired - Providence Southwest WA
Sandy Adams's career focused on working with not-for-profit organizations dedicated to improving people's lives, and her retirement focus continues that passion. She enjoys collaborating with others to address issues, make improvements, and sustain success. Spending time outdoors, traveling, and being with family and friends occupies much of her current time as well.
Emily Bergkamp

General Manager, Intercity Transit
Emily Bergkamp has spent more than 20 years at Intercity Transit, starting as a vanpool coordinator and becoming general manager in 2023. Emily has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Martin’s University and Master in Public Administration from the University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. Emily strives to be a knowledgeable and personable problem solver. She lives in Olympia, WA with her husband and two children.
Crill Campbell

Crill Campbell has been a happy participant in in Senior Services for South Sound's Activities for more than a decade. She particularly enjoys the camaraderie and balance it has added to her life.
Nicole Colgan
Member
Vice President of HR, Ideal Option
Nicole Colgan is the Vice President of Human Resources for Ideal Option, a national outpatient addiction treatment organization, but her most important job is being mom to her two children, Jack and Kaya. She has a passion for mission-driven work and helping others. She loves hiking, camping and spending time with her family and friends.
Amy Degon

Community Relations Director, MyMedSupplies
Amy Degon has worked in the medical supply industry for almost 30 years. She is currently Branch Manager and Community Relations Director for the Lacey branch of MyMedSupplies, formerly known as GenevaWoods. Amy’s passion is collaboration, and she seeks to connect those with needs to those with resources. In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her daughter & pups, either at the beach or walking in the great PNW forests.
Denise Steigers

Realtor, Olympic Sotheby's International Realty
Denise Steigers spent over 25 years as a mortgage banker before becoming a realtor in 2014. While at Coldwell Banker, she was recognized among the top professionals in the industry, including earning Coldwell Banker’s International President’s Elite designation, which represents the top 3% of agents worldwide. Now with Olympia Sotheby's, Denise is active in her community, including with the Olympia Kiwanis Club. When not working, she loves spending time with her family, relaxing with a good book, or watching a favorite movie.
Curt Steigers
Member
Retired - Commander, USN
Curt Steigers is a US Naval Academy graduate and retired Naval Commander since May 2013. He currently is licensed as a Contractor/Handyman with Old Goat Handyman Services.
