Senior Services for South Sound is looking for a part-time, Meal Service Coordinator (MSC) in the Senior Nutrition program (SN) based out of Olympia for 25 hours per week, who is responsible for assisting with the preparation, transport, and service of meals for the Tumwater senior meal site. This ideal person works under the direction of the Kitchen Manager in Olympia, ensures smooth daily operations including maintaining food safety standards, organizing storage areas and coordinating meal delivery and site setup. The MSC helps train and guide volunteers, upholding quality, safety and portion control in all meal services. This role supports accurate reporting with data entry, cash-handling, cross-site teamwork and clear communication between the kitchen and meal site to ensure seniors receive nutritious, timely meals each day. This ideal person ensures meals meet nutrition, food safety, dietary restrictions, and portion control standards. KAD also assists in doing the dishes, setting up/breaking down the dining room, and performing other cleaning and organizing duties as assigned. Senior Services for South Sound is looking for a full-time, Senior Nutrition (SN) Assistant Director based out of Olympia for 40 hours per week. This ideal person works closely with the SN Director to train kitchen staff and volunteers to meet the WA food safety code and the SN program federal program standards, fills in for kitchen staff as necessary, oversees raw food budgets and cost control, helps develop menus and standardized recipes, plans and implements catered events, and fills in for the SN Director when instructed.
