Tips to Beat the Heat with Janet
As climate change continues to make our summers hotter, we need to learn to protect ourselves from extreme heat. Heat is the number one weather killer in the US and seniors are especially susceptible. Janet Nazy, Executive Director at Thurston Climate Action Team (TCAT), will share information from their Cooling Thurston program. You will learn why our summers are warming, the heat illness symptoms you should recognize, and you’ll get tips on how to stay cool and avoid heat illness. You’ll come away with a Heat Illness Prevention brochure to help keep you safe.
