MLK Closure 2026

Centers and Administrative Offices Closed Monday, January 19 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
This day honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose work challenged injustice, uplifted communities and called on all of us to build a more just, compassionate society. His vision of dignity, equity and belonging continues to guide efforts toward positive change.
This week also includes the National Day of Racial Healing, a time to reflect, listen and engage in conversations that help bridge divides and strengthen our community. While our offices remain open on that day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to learn more and participate in opportunities for reflection and connection.
The City of Olympia is will be hosting a community conversation at the Olympia Center on Saturday, January 19 from 1:30 to 4:00 pm. Learn more here!
We will reopen on Tuesday, January 20, and appreciate your understanding as we take this time to honor these important observances.
