This interactive, fun-filled, relaxed—pace class will get you playing and smiling on your first day! Beginning with the basics, you’ll soon be strumming easy chords and playing a wide range of songs.

Teaching materials and sheet music included. No previous musical experience is needed. All ages and skill levels are welcome to join this community class and play at a beginning level, with the intention being to continue throughout the year to intermediate and advanced classes. Bring soprano, concert, or tenor ukulele; tuner (or phone app); pick (optional) and 3-ring binder.

INSTRUCTOR: Allen Mote, Ph.D. is a lifelong guitar player and “participation” music enthusiast. He especially enjoys “play & sing-a-longs” with family and friends, playing with a weekly ukulele group, and performing. He also enjoys photography, travel, spending time in nature, hiking, reading, writing. In his professional life Allen was a practicing psychologist, teacher, Professor, and adult continuing education instructor.

Fee: $60 member; $80 non-member
