Volunteer Opportunities

If you are not currently volunteering and are interested in working with seniors, please come join us as a volunteer and enjoy the experience.

We currently need volunteers in the following positions:

VAN DRIVERS.  Do you enjoy driving?  Have a clean driving record?  We need van drivers to transport seniors to doctor's appointments and the center.

OLYMPIA RECEPTION.  If you have good customer service skills, are able to answer a multi-line phone and help with general office duties.  Shifts are available in both the morning and afternoon.

STARS (Services to At Risk Seniors).  Volunteers are needed to aid the STARS staff.  We have sites at the Lacey Senior Center, the Olympia Senior Center and the Shelton STARS sites.

MEALS ON WHEELS.  We need drivers for delivering meals in the Olympia area.

 TRIPS AND TRAVEL DEPARTMENT at the Olympia Senior Center.   Help at the trips front desk or become a trip escort.

 SENIOR PHONE FRIEND ASSURANCE PROGRAM.  Provides clients with daily telephone reassurance and socialization.  Volunteers call to check on their safety and well-being.

 SENIOR BOUTIQUE.   Process new donations and handle sales of donated items.

 COFFEE BAR or ESPRESSO BAR.
