As Senior Citizens we all love and admire our pets as they put so much love and happiness into our sometimes lonely lives.  When we lose one of these beloved pets it is very traumatic for us.

The STARS Therapy dog "Jackson" has passed away. Jackson was a 3 year old Great Dane and adored by all for his extra large stature and his loving and gentle manner. Jackson’s death was sudden and PREVENTABLE.

He was given a sugar free goodie that contained Xylitol. Xylitol is a natural sweetener that is found in many sugar free goodies and has beneficial properties for humans but is toxic to dogs. Jackson is missed, but will not die in vain. DO NOT GIVE DOGS FOOD THAT CONTAINS XYLITOL.

Please pass on this important information. With your help we can insure this does not happen to any other pets.
