SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM This page contains information on the following subjects: Menus The Senior Nutrition Program is designed to provide nutritious noon meals to the senior population in Mason and Thurston counties. While being served in a social setting, these meals are intended to maintain and improve overall health. The suggested donation for meals at your local Senior Center for persons 60 years of age or older is $3-$6 depending on your ability to pay. For people less than 60 years of age, your meal will cost $5.61. To assist with healthier meal choices to seniors with dietary restrictions a registered dietician is available for nutritional counseling. People who are confined to their homes and are over 60 years of age may be eligible for home delivered meals. Up to one meal per day may be provided - either fresh or frozen depending on locale and distance from the serving site. Those who qualify may help support the program by voluntary donations. The recommended amount is $3-$6 depending on your ability to pay. People who do not qualify may still receive home delivered meals by paying $6.24 per meal. Additional support comes from the Federal Older Americans' Act, Lewis- Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging, and Senior Services for South Sound. Ever met Superman??
